Courts Service

    Excellent site redesigned in 2003 which provides direction on use of the courts, including suggestions for persons appearing as a witness or serving as a juror; access to daily court lists and judgments and an explanation of the Court Service with a description of court related assistance available. Very informative and well formatted.

The WLR Daily

    Provides summaries of judgments handed down in the UK courts and in the European Court of Justice from 2000.

Court of Justice of the European Communities.

    Definition, description, composition, jurisdiction and procedure of the Court of Justice of the European Communities.

UK Law Online.

    A superb collection of U.K. related databases. Provides, inter-alia, an overview of the UK barrister and solicitor professions and how to qualify for each.

Business Link.

    Compilation of FAQs of interest to business, including any considering relocating to the UK. A number of links are provided to relevant law related sites.

Divorce - Desertion & Separation.

    A concise and well organized overview of the British family law system.

The British Academy Law Portal.

    A very helpful directory of international legal resources, with emphasis upon the United Kingdom.

The General Council of the Bar.

    The official web site of The Bar Council. Outlines the quality and scope of barristers' services and how best to take advantage of them. "They constitute a resource of immense value to international litigation."

The Law Society of England and Wales.

    The Law Society is the professional body for solicitors in England and Wales. The site provides services and information to solicitors and other legal practitioners throughout the UK and worldwide.
