      Resumé - Curriculum Vitae
Robert D. Carrow

Mr. Carrow holds dual qualification as a United States lawyer (CA and NY) and British barrister (England & Wales). He has since 1981 concurrently maintained law offices in California and active membership in London barrister chambers. Prior to commencement of his ADR/arbitration practice, he was a litigation and arbitration advocate, involved in a number of cases which attracted national and international professional and media attention. He served on a panel of Temporary/Private Judges of California's highest trial court for 14 years and as a settlement conference panelist for 25 years.
For the past 30 years his principal focus, both as a trial lawyer and later in his career as an advocate, arbitrator and mediator, has been commercial, construction, other business and employment related disputes and tort, both domestic and international.  Mr. Carrow's dual qualification and professional experiences have uniquely qualified him to act as arbitrator or mediator in Anglo-American disputes and conflicts involving Commonwealth interests.

The litigation involvements of Mr. Carrow during the period that he focused primarily on litigation and arbitration advocacy were fairly evenly divided between prosecuting and defending against substantial claims, in a multitude of settings. Consequently, he does not carry into the arbitration/mediation process any bias or impartiality resulting from his prior litigation and arbitration involvements. Arbitral institutions with which Mr. Carrow is affiliated are: The London Court of International Arbitration (London), The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London) and The National Arbitration Forum (USA).
